Rev. Dr. Jose Cletus CMI on Feb. 4, 2016 addressed the faculty members and admin staff.
He appreciated the staff for being a willing team in the process of attaining autonomy. Now the efforts should be to be a winning team. It is true that we have to move as the CM says, ati vegam, bahu dooram.
In this process, I realize that we have an Amazon like situation: where the turbulent muddy waters of Amazon and pure waters of the small Tapezo join, but run paralally without mingling. This has to be overcome by conscious efforts. We are curious about it, and also anxious about it. We consider it a challenge (velluvili) but also a vocation (daivavili).
We have to have the right mix of paramparyam, pariseelanam (seelangal) and paritovastha.
It is a fact that we have to take into account both the market (kambolam) and character formation.
In this context, the heartian community is invited to join hands in the four fold thrust of the CMI congregation for the present:
1. Of being a community - through communication and celebration - to communion of minds & hearts. For this the 3D formula can come handy - Dining Table, Divine Table (prayer & scripture) and Dialogue Table.
2. Caring for the Poor - those who are in the 'existential peripheries' of the world. Our effort to reach out and focus on issues of illness (like Cancer, HIV) and housing.
3. Reaching out to families - after St. Chavara - an effort to understand families and visit families of our students.
4. Global mission - reaching out to the ends of the world.
The session ended after a brief interaction with the staff with Prof. Rajesh James thanking Fr. Provincial on behalf of the staff.
